The Taha-School-Project was founded in October 2014 with seven members. Since then not only the project expanded but also our association. Currently it counts 32 members, who all work honorary for our common aim.
The association is run by Christoph Wenzl as chairman, Andreas Sperlich as vice chairmain and Michael Wenzl as treasurer.
The rest of the work is shared among several people, for example the public relations work or the organisation of our events and activities.
becoming a member
We are always happy about new, dynamic supporters. Everyone can participate and accept a responsibility in the association. Another option is to join as a passive member and solely make the monthly contribution. For this just fill the application of membership and send it to us. If you still have questions, just contact us via email.
Our partner in Ghana ist he Northern Educational Alliance, an NGO which was extra founded for the construction of the school and is registered at the Ghanaian companies act.
The man in charge responsible for the communication with us and the organisation on-site is Alhassan Salifu. He grew up in Taha and learned the struggle it means to achieve a secondary degree in that region the hard way. Nevertheless as the only one of his village he conducted his plan and gained not only a secondary certificate but also a bachelor in education. Currently he is teaching at the Kaleo Senior High Technical School.
It was his idea to build a school in Taha, because he wants to enable as many children as possible to attend a secondary school.
